Pic from lizawang.com "Madame Butterfly" Liza Wang, Sun Kim-long, Chan Wing-yee, Yau Sing-po, Yam Bing-yee, Choi Kei-lun and Liu Kwok-sum. The scriptwriter, Mr Yip Siu-tak, tries to re-write "Madame Butterfly" for Cantonese Opera by keeping the original storyline. Actors and actresses dressed in Japanese and western costume with newly designed stage settings will surely bring to Chinese Opera lovers great surprise. "Nevertheless, we will keep the traditional music arrangement and singing method of the Cantonese Opera," said Mr Yip. The story tells about the love affair between a US lieutenant and Japanese lady called Butterfly. They fall in love at first sight and get married. Later, the lieutenant leaves Butterfly and returns to America to marry his superior's daughter. Three years later, having an unhappy marriage with his American wife, the lieutenant decides to go to Japan to look for Butterfly. In fact, after the lieutenant's departure, Butterfly has given birth to a baby son for him. However, when she realizes that her husband has married another woman in America and her marriage will not have a happy future, Butterfly chooses to end her own life.

thank u Soly 4 the story outline!its such a sad story then... Yea, it's a sad story . Hate the guy's character. He left her, and married to another woman, and when he knew that Butterfly had a child, he came back and want the child. In the movies, it's a boy. But in the drama incernated by Liza, it's a girl I think. I saw in the photo.

Of course I didn't do the translation. I forget how I got it, it's more than 2 years already, lol. I think I must type "Madame Butterfly, Liza Wang" in google or yahoo, and found out that storyline, lol.
Hope her shows will be released into VCD or DVD
